Hey everyone! I would like to apologize on behalf of all of the teachers here, we've dropped the ball and this group has suffered because of it. I've taken over as headmaster as per request from and will be acting headmaster for the time being.
So let's get down to business!
Teachers, we need you, those of you willing to take on students at any point this year, please note me ( ) and we'll get you added to the list of teachers :3
I've decided to break down the "semesters" into 4 equal parts (quarters), my preference is as follows
September through November
December through February
March through May
June through August
This way, everyone who wants to learn or teach has the opportunity to without being over-committed. If you don't want to have class over Christmas break, don't take class that quarter, or on the other side of things, if you only have time for class around Christmas break, then take class only that quarter.
If anyone would like to suggest a different setup for classes, let me know and I'll try to take everyone's opinions into account.
Each quarter will end with an "exam" I will discuss exams with the teachers for each student, and we will decide on how best to "test" each student on what they learned throughout the quarter. Your teacher will evaluate it, since they are the one who will have worked with you and understand your improvement best. After the grading, and once you've revised your piece should you feel the need to, we will have a quarterly showcase journal :3
Also, if you choose to continue class for a semester (two quarters) and should your teacher accept a full semester class, we will have "final exams" at the end of the second quarter, which will be a more difficult exam, and showcased in a special "final exam" folder and journal
If you would like to apply as a student, please note the group using the following application
Medium you'd like to learn: (examples; digital drawing, traditional drawing, sewing, etc.)
What you'd like to focus on: (examples; anatomy, lighting/shading, stitching techniques, etc.)
Timezone:
Availability: (use your timezone to make things easier)
Available communications: (email, skype, google hangouts, facebook, etc.)
Anything else you think is important:
students CAN be teachers and Vice Verse
Open Classrooms
I'm also going to be starting open classrooms! Every weekend, I will feature at least 1 teacher hosting either a google hangout or a stream where they teach whatever they like (or whatever you request, if that's what they like) live for the classroom.
If you would like to be a part of this, even if you don't want/have time to be a regular teacher, please note me (again, ) and I will add you to the list of streaming teachers :3
If you would like to suggest anything or ask any questions, feel free to leave a comment here and I'll respond as soon as I can

You asked, I tried to deliver, here's your first tutorial! :thumb523799726:
I hope this helps a little :3
Now, your assignment for this week is to draw a picture, be it digital or traditional, and weigh the lines. If you don't have pens, you can do this in pencil, too, but like I said in the tutorial, any kind of pen will work for this, some just take more effort. XD
This assignment will be worth 1 point
This assignment is due Tuesday, April 7th.
I haven't received ANY of last week's assignments this week, so hurry and get them in, today is the last day!

Hello, I was intrigued by this idea and would like to take part (as a student), but I was wondering, how often would we have assignments and how long would we have to turn it in? Depending on the activity required, I might not be able to join, but I'd love to if the schedule was flexible when regarding assignments and what not.
